Dr. Edward Taylor
     Dr. Edward D. Taylor, a Centralia resident since 1934, died at the age of 96 at his home Monday, April 23.
     Taylor was born March 8, 1905, in Orofino, Idaho, to Thomas and Frances (Driskel) Taylor.
     A graduate of the University of Oregon Medical School. Taylor served for six years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
     In 1975, Taylor retired from his medical practice in Centralia. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Elks and of the American Medical Association, and was the last of four of his pinochle club.
     Taylor loved carving totem poles and statues.
     Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
     Remembrances may be donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Attention: Memorial-Honor Program FH.
     At the request of the deceased no services will be held. Visitation may be made from noon to 5 p.m. today at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, Centralia, which is in charge of cremation arrangements.
