Linda Marie (Pyles) Berry, Orofino
     Linda Marie (Pyles) Berry passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, following surgery for an aorta aneurysm.
Linda was born June 30, 1942, in Walla Walla. Linda was raised and attended school in Nezperce and attended college at Northwest Christian College. In 1961 Linda married and had two children. She returned to Wallowa County and worked at Wallowa Memorial Hospital and at several other jobs supporting her children. Linda married again in 1969 and moved to the family farm on Prairie Creek in Joseph, Ore. She enjoyed returning to the ranch life and raising her children. In 1971 Linda had her youngest child. Linda later moved to Irrigon, Ore., and worked in the food processing industry for several years. Linda married Hal Hals, enjoying farming and raising dairy cows in Sunnyside, Wash. After Hal passed away, Linda reconnected and married her high school sweetheart. Linda and her husband were able to enjoy their retirement years traveling, sightseeing and reconnecting with old acquaintances. They have resided near Orofino and were working on the family home and making future plans prior to Linda's untimely passing. She had a green thumb when it came to plants and gardening. Linda always enjoyed playing cards and games with the family.
     Surviving are Linda's husband; father; three children and spouses; two siblings and spouses; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; three stepsons; two nieces and their families. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Pyles.
     A private family gathering will be conducted.
