Alma Adams, 92, Lewiston

     Alma Dickinson Adams was born Nov. 9, 1917, at Connell, Wash., to William and Anna Marie West. She ascended into heaven Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, in Lewiston. She spent her childhood and teenage years at Peck. Mom married Walt Dickinson at Orofino, Oct. 6, 1934. They moved to Pierce, where dad worked in the woods and operated the Mobil Service Station. Mom worked with dad at the service station for several years. After dad passed away, she worked at Durants Store in Pierce.
     She moved to Lewiston in the mid-'60s and worked at the Owl Drug Store until she retired.
     Mom married for the second time Dec. 24, 1981. They lived on 17th Street in Lewiston. They enjoyed the outdoors together, camping, fishing and hunting.
     Mom also enjoyed sewing, gardening, birds, especially owls, and all of God's creations.
     Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Walt; brothers, Walt West, Pat West, infant Raymond West and Raymond L. West; and sister, Orene Plank.
     Mom is survived by her husband of Lewiston; two daughters, and a son. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
     A small family memorial service will be conducted this week in Lewiston.
