Eula E. Abbott, 89, Lewiston
     Eula E. Abbott was born Jan. 29, 1922, to Martha and Miles E. Moore in Orofino. She passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.
     She attended Lewiston schools and married her husband in Post Falls, Idaho, Sept. 6, 1938. They were married for 72 years.
     She is survived by her loving husband; and children, two sons and two daughters. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Evelyn Folen and Mabel Henry; and two grandsons.
     Eula worked in the box factory at Potlatch during the war years while her husband was serving in the Merchant Marines. She spent most of her years as a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
     She enjoyed square dancing, round dancing and golf for many years. She sewed many of their dancing costumes for several years during their involvement with the Twin City Twirlers. She enjoyed travels and camping, including trips to Alaska, Hawaii and Greece, as well as travels across the United States visiting children and grandchildren.
     Eula and her husband were officially recognized by Worldwide Marriage Encounter on Feb. 7, for their loving commitment to their marriage as one of the longest-married couples in the country.
     Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
