Robert Carlson

Robert (Rob) Carlson, 44, went to join his wife in heaven Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, after a three-year battle with cancer. He is now finally resting peacefully.
Rob was born Jan. 5, 1967, in Ennis, Mont. At the age of 2-1/2, his family moved to the Orofino area, where he grew up, attended school and became a wonderful man. Rob was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting, swimming and riding four-wheelers.
Rob worked several jobs during his lifetime, but the last 20 years or so of his life he had worked construction for Paul Pippenger. He loved a challenge and he found that daily in his work.
Rob was preceded in death by his loving wife Laurie, and his older brother, Terry. He leaves behind four children; three stepchildren; father; mother and stepfather; three brothers; three sisters; a sister-in-law; nephews, several grandchildren and many friends.
Rob will be missed greatly. Anybody who knew him knew he was a real character. He had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. We will never forget him as he was loved very much by many.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with a catered meal to follow; both will be at the Orofino United Methodist Church, 337 College Ave.
