Murray Don Anderson

Murray Don Anderson passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at his home after a lengthy struggle following surgery.
He was born July 20, 1928, to Oliver and Alma Anderson, at Grand Marais, Minn.
After spending his youth attending school and fishing, not necessarily in that order, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1949, served in Okinawa and was honorably discharged in 1952.
He married the love of his life on Sept. 6, 1958. They lived in Grand Marais until moving to Orofino in 1970. In 1972, they started A&A Electric Inc. and in 1984 sold the business, but he continued working in the commercial refrigeration and heating and a/c field until his retirement in 1990.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He spent many hours at the river with his four-legged friend, Sassie.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years; his son and daughter-in-law; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings, Guyal, Jim, Joyce, Doris, Ione, Judy and Evelyn Claire.
A celebration of life will be conducted from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the VFW Hall in Orofino. Burial will be at a later date in Grand Marais.
Memorials may be sent to the Orofino Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 1317, Orofino, ID 83544.
Pine Hills Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in care of arrangements.
